Damascus - Raja al-Aysmi
An official source in the Syrian Foreign Ministry considered on Thursday evening that the presence of U.S. Ambassador Robert Ford in the city of Hama without obtaining prior permission from the Ministry. According to the instructions circulated around all the embassies this visit was, "clear evidence of the involvement of the United States in current events in Syria, and their attempts and incitement to escalate the situation which is putting the security and stability of Syria in jeopardy." This statement comes after what was said by the spokeswoman of the U.S. department that evening with regard to the speech given by American ambassador to Damascus in the city of Hama. The source added: "Syria is alert to the danger of such irresponsible acts." He added that regardless of the intended actions, he is "intent on taking all necessary measures to restore security and stability in the country".
