Further clashes have taken place between Huthis and government forces across Taiz province in the south of the Yemen capital Sanaa.

According to local sources violent clashes using medium and heavy weapons broke out between the two sides in Hawdh Al Ashraf and Al Majliya, in the center of the province and Al-Khamseen street.

The government forces took control of the locations where armed Huthis are stationed in Hawdh Al Ashraf and Al Majliya, including a military intelligence building in addition to a number of houses where snipers were placed as well as a military checkpoint in Al-Khamseen street after heavy fighting, during which, a number of rebels were killed and captured while their military vehicles were destroyed.
