Spokesman for Aden Coalition for Popular Relief Adnan Al Kaf said three aid ships failed to reach to Oil Harbor in Aden, South Yemen, due to the continued shelling by militants of Houthis and former Yemeni president Ali Aballah Saleh.
In a statement distributed to Yemeni media, Kaf said two ships, carrying 2,800 tons of relief materials and foodstuff, coming from Mukalla Harbor in Hadramout and Djibouti could not reach to Oil Harbor due to shelling and fires caused by the militants.
A third ship for the UN did not anchor in Oil Harbor due to the fires caused by shelling to the district.
Aden suffers a lack of medical supplies and food as a result of the houthis shelling on various districts, forcing the displacement of residents to neighboring governorates.
