Faiza Abul-Naga, Egypt's minister of planning and international cooperation hsa said that the Egyptian government crisis was settled, echoing statements by interim prime minister Kamal Ganzouri. Abul-Naga said after a meeting in the Egyptian cabinet on Monday that the only person who had the right to maintain or dissolve the government was the head of the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF)m Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi. This is apparently in accordance with the constitutional declaration. The statement made at a news conference on Monday in the interim government's headquarters in Nasr City regarding a Muslim Brotherhood leader's statement saying the group could retract its decision of nominating Khairat al-Shater if the government submitted its resignation.
