The US-led coalition against Daesh launched a total of 15 airstrikes against Daesh targets in Syria and Iraq between 8:00 am. on Sunday and 8:00 am. on Monday, local time, the Combined Joint Task Force for Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) revealed in a statement.
In Syria fighter, bomber and drone aircraft launched two airstrikes; near Ain Al Arab/Kobane where "an airstrike struck an Daesh large tactical unit," and near Dayr az Zawr where "an airstrike struck and destroyed multiple Daesh oil pumps," the statement said. In Iraq, 13 airstrikes were launched using attack, fighter and drone aircraft, CJTF-OIR affirmed.
Near Al Asad one airstrike "struck an Daesh tactical unit and destroyed an Daesh vehicle," near Al Qaim, another airstrike "destroyed an Daesh excavator," and near Bayji "two airstrikes struck an Daesh tactical unit and destroyed an Daesh checkpoint," the statement said. Near Fallujah "two airstrikes destroyed an Daesh vehicle and an Daesh mortar positon," near Haditha one strike hit "an Daesh tactical unit and destroyed three Daesh vehicles and an Daesh building," and near Mosul four strikes hit "an Daesh tactical unit and destroyed two Daesh fighting positions, an Daesh excavator and an Daesh vehicle," it was revealed.
Finally, near Rawah one airstrike "destroyed an Daesh armored vehicle," while near Tal Afar, one airstrike "struck an Daesh tactical unit and destroyed an Daesh building," CJTF-OIR said.
