Sharjah Ruler chairs AUS Enterprise’s board meeting

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, President of the American University in Sharjah, AUS, and also chairman of the AUS Enterprise, called for partnership between government and private sectors to support academic and application research, which would contribute to making scientific discoveries.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan said it on Thursday while presiding over the meeting of AUS Enterprise, at AUS in Sharjah. He also endorsed AUS Enterprise’s initiative to set up partnership between government and private sectors to enhance development and innovation across the emirate.

The Sharjah Ruler also approved AUS Enterprise’s operational budget. H.H. Sheikh Sultan and the members of the board of directors were briefed about the latest developments in work and all the regulations at the Technology and Research Complex. He was also briefed about the organisational structure and the promotional plans to develop its strategy for the next three years.

He also approved a number of recent and future projects on the agenda of the meeting.
