Mansour bin Mohammed visits Medstar Day Surgery Centre

H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the Medstar Day Surgery Centre in Dubai, reviewing the innovative model of day surgery center and its effectiveness.

He led a high-level delegation that included Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Bin Kalban, CEO of Hospital Services Sector, Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Dr. Haidar Saeed Al Yousuf, Director Health Funding and Member of the DHA Executive Committee and Strategy Council, and other senior officials of the DHA.

Medstar is the first-of-its-kind advanced day surgery center located in Oud Metha, Dubai. Pioneering the concept of a day surgery center in the UAE, Medstar offers world-class surgery and healthcare for patients without the requirement of hospitalisation or over-night stay.

The delegation was given a complete tour of the facility, following which the officials discussed and applauded the successful model of developed countries – day care surgery with outpatient consultation.

Dr Ahmad bin Kalban, CEO of Hospital Services Sector at the Dubai Health Authority, said, "I am pleased to visit Medstar Day Surgery Centre and understand the various services provided by the facility in Dubai.
