Saudi Cultural Attaché Musaad al-Jarah (L) Saudi Cultural Attaché Musaad al-Jarah has urged students in Lebanon to leave the country after exams, due to the deteriorating security situation .
Al-Jarah told Saudi newspaper Okaz that authorities were concerned about the safety of Saudi students currently living in Lebanon, and claimed that they won't be allowed to return to the country unless they have a specific purpose.
Saudi students in  East Mediterranean state are anxious about the future, due to the escalating conflict in Syria its spillover into Lebanon.
Student Malek Minged said that he had no choice but to remain in Lebanon because he has one year left on his course before graduation.
Minged added that he would continue to liaise with the embassy over the next few months.
The Saudi student said he would leave for Saudi Arabia immediatly after graduation.
Another student, Dania Ghazawy said she would have left Lebanon had it not been for her final year of studies. Ghazawy implied that the embassy had advised her to leave the country, but she wanted to complete her course.
