Saudi Minister of Education Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa signed a cooperation agreement with Swedish Minister of Higher Education and Research Helene Hellmark Knutsson during Al-Issa’s official visit to Sweden.
The agreement includes 16 articles to enhance educational cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of visits between education officials, researchers and staff members.
The two ministers discussed aspects to facilitate cooperation between universities in both countries. They also agreed to increase the number of Saudi scholarships to Swedish universities.
The meeting was attended by Salem Al-Malik, consultant and general supervisor for international cooperation at the Saudi Ministry of Education, Saudi Ambassador to Sweden Abdul Aziz Al-Zaid, and the Swedish ambassador to the Kingdom.
During his visit to Sweden, Al-Issa held meetings with chancellors of four Swedish universities in the presence of a representative of the Swedish Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the chairman of the Swedish Research Organization
