Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) The Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) will launch a program this month to attract cycle 3 students (children in Grades 10 to 12) to join the educational field in order to build a generation of Emiratis ready to engage in a new world that requires advanced skills.
The program which will conclude in May, includes a series of field visits to a number of schools in the state to acquaint students with the programs and academic plans of the college, as well as the promising future job opportunities for ECAE graduates. And also with the vital role played by the educational sector in the state, and the interest the government shows in education placing it at the top of its priorities.
In this regard, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Yousif Baniyas, Vice Chancellor of ECAE, explained how the college assumed the role of the academic and professional advisor to cycle 3 students, pointing out that the ECAE graduates own a number of skills, such as the effective communication, the mastery of English language along with Arabic language efficiency.
"They are also very proficient with ICT and fluent in the skill of independent learning, with a capability of dealing with individual differences among students, and also able to apply the effective teaching skills like, planning, participation, control, management, evaluation and teamwork. Within the frame of this preparation, the college graduate enjoys a distinct presence in the labor market for his extensive knowledge, teaching skills, outstanding creativity and critical thinking," according to him.
He stressed the college initiative in conducting academic guidance campaigns for the new national students which will greatly contribute to the achievement of the college objectives represented by promoting the educational process in the country in general, and in the emirate of Abu Dhabi in particular.
Mrs. Sameera Al Nuwaimi, head of student affairs, elaborated that the college follows multiple approaches to apply the program of attracting future teachers in collaboration with establishments and entities known for their strategic partnerships and cooperation agreements with the college, such as Abu Dhabi Education Council ( ADEC ), ministry of higher education, Abu Dhabi Media and Khalifa Award for Education and other community foundations.
