His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has said that the UAE will always be a centre of knowledge, civilisation and human culture that contributes towards creating a future that is suitable for coming generations. "The UAE honours innovators and outstanding individuals in the field of art, science, culture, environment, economy and world peace," he said in his statement during the 14th graduation ceremony of the American University of Dubai (AUD) Monday. Some 450 students received their degrees in the presence of international media heavyweights. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammad, who also presented the degrees. Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, were also present. from / Gulf News
