Nahyan appoints Vice-Chancellor

Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in his capacity as the Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, issued a resolution appointing Dr Ali Rashid Abdullah Al Nuaimi as Vice-Chancellor of the university. Dr Al Nuaimi holds a BA and MA from United States’ Portland State University (PSU), and completed his doctoral studies at the University of Imam Mohammad Bin Saud, Saudi Arabia. He worked in several senior academic and scientific positions at the UAEU, where he joined in 1991 as a member of the education faculty. In 2006 he was appointed as an adviser to the Minister of Education and is member of many committees including the Shaikh Zayed Book Award. From / Gulf News
