Saudi King approves $21.3bn education programme

Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz approved an executive program to develop public education with 80 billion riyals (USD 21.3 billion), Minister of Education said Monday. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal said in a statement the five-year executive program, sponsored by the ministry, aimed at honoring essential education needs. He said the program would trigger a "historic and qualitative" transformation in education .
