The department of student activities at Qatar University (QU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Rayyan Sports Club on Wednesday to hone the students’ sports skills and allow them greater sports opportunities. The MoU was signed by Dr. Omar Al Ansari, QU Vice President for Student Affairs and the secretary general of Qatar’s Al-Rayyan club, Mohammad Ali Hobash. According to the signed agreement, The university students will get better indoors and outdoors sports’ experiences allowing them to use the facilities of the club as well as providing the University with some Sports equipment. The club will get the benefit of using the University’s sports facilities as well. On behalf of the Chairman of Al Rayyan club, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Thani, Hobash thanked the University’s administration for the first-time opportunity between a sports club and a University to cooperate, saying that this step paves the way for more agreements ahead. Meanwhile, the head of the club’s communication and marketing department said that the club will ensure the students of QU and the community of Al Rayyan club alike, get acquainted with the contents of the agreement to best benefit from it.
