The Interior Ministry said Monday that police forces responded to the violent acts which took place at Cairo University only with firing tear gas and did not enter the campus of the university. "The injuries which led to the death of a student took place outside the Faculty of Science inside the campus," the ministry said in a statement. "Security forces were deployed outside the main gates which is far from the Faculty of Science," it said. The ministry reaffirmed that the troops did not enter the campus and did not use live ammunition
