Kuwait - KUNA

Ministry of Education asserted its full readiness to implement its contingency plan at schools to ensure the safety of students in case of heavy rains and floods. As part of its emergency crisis intervention program at all schools, there will be a trained team from the school's staff members that will ensure the safety of students in case of emergencies, the ministry said in a statement. The team will be trained in calming down the students to prevent panic and chaos inside school classrooms. The Gulf region, including Kuwait, is currently witnessing heavy rains and thunderstorms. However, meteorology experts excluded the possibility of flooding.
