The Minister of Education has inaugurated the fourth edition of the Academic Festival of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, praising the distinctive event that provides youth with a platform to demonstrate their skills and talents. This festival contributes to aiding the youth to manifest their potentials, through theatrical direction, acting, criticism or decoration, said Ahmad Al-Mulaifi, also the Minister of Higher Education, in a statement the made at the festival opening, late on Thursday. The festival, held under the minister's sponsorship, is scheduled till April 6th. For his part, Minister of Information, Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, who was also present at the inaugural ceremony, addressed attendees, lauding organizers who spared no effort to ensure excellent presentation of the event to the public. The festival chairman and the institute dean, Dr. Fahad Al-Sulayem, expressed satisfaction for development of the festival that was first launched with participation of a countable number of students and later turned into a lucrative event that includes Arab and international dramatic works. Meanwhile, the former minister of information, Mohammad Al-Sanousi, called on the ministry to activate the Amiri Decree that concerns the academy. He urged the academy to produce programs in coordination with Kuwait Television, praising efforts exerted by Dr. Hani Al-Nassar, in particular. Other attending eminent figures made remarks of identical content. And the festival included the 2012-2013 students' graduation.
