Berlin - QNA

The German government has approved student preparation for Muslim preaching for the first time ever in its history. The approval came in the Osnabruck area northwest Germany after Islam came third among the country's religions, with the total number of Muslims reaching 4 million, 45% of which hold the German nationality. German Chancellor Angela Merkel remarked that she wanted Islam to be in line with German circumstances rather than imported from abroad. There are currently 8 million Muslim imams working in Germany, all of which are Turkish, most not residing in Germany more than a couple of years.
