Emirates Gas ( EMGAS ), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ENOC, the Dubai government-owned diversified energy group, recently conducted an LPG Safety & Awareness training programme at the National Institute for Vocational Education (NIVE). The programme demonstrated safe installation of LPG cylinders, valves and regulators, the basics of the fire triangle and secure ways of handling LPG. An overview of EMGAS products and services was also presented to the 30 participants. Hesham Ali Mustafa, Senior Director, ENOC Gas Marketing & General Manager, Emirates Gas LLC said: “We are committed to promoting knowledge of safe LPG practices to all sectors of society. As such, we regularly reach out to various schools to raise awareness amongst the youth”. EMGAS has provided similar training programmes for students from a number of educational institutions including Al Ahlia School, Sumaya Bint Al Khayat Ajman Secondary School, Muzaira School and Institute of Applied Technology and Dubai Women’s College. The company also partnered with UAE University in Al Ain to strengthen research and development on LPG-related products.
