Wuhan - Xinhua
An exhibition based on Albert Einstein opened Friday in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei province. The exhibition for Einstein will last to June 17, and residents and tourists can visit the exhibition free. Albert Einstein, who received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921, was regarded as the father of modern physics and one of the most prolific intellects in human history. More than 200 exhibits of Einstein, including videos and replicas, will be displayed during the three months. The first Einstein exhibition was held in Bern, Switzerland in 2005 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the theory of general relativity developed by Einstein, said Jakob Messerli, curator of the Historisches Museum Bern. Jakob Messerli said to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland, an Einstein exhibition was held in Beijing in May, 2010. The exhibition has been also held in Guangzhou and Hong Kong respectively, and Wuhan is the fourth and the last place in China. As part of the opening ceremony of the exhibition in Wuhan, Paul Einstein, the great-grandson of Albert Einstein, performed a musical play, "The Story of Giovanni Pippistrelli," created by himself. The exhibition was jointly organized by Embassy of Switzerland and Historisches Museum Bern, the second biggest historisches museum in Switzerland.
