Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi inaugurated the first batch of the new school buses of 62 buses out of 550 that will be provided during the coming period.The Minister was briefed on the advantages of those buses, especially regarding the provision of security and safety precautions, where there are the safety belts on the seats, 3 cameras to ensure the safety of students during getting off the bus and an amplifier to guide students.Buses have been equipped with comfortable seating, air conditioners, aluminum barriers for the windows to enhance safety on the bus, first aid and fire extinguisher, as it is equipped with the signal "stop" at the left side in order to ensure the safety of students while crossing the road.The Minister stressed that the Ministry implements the leadership’s directives of providing many services to its students, including free transportation for 34 thousand students at the cost of up to 5 million dinars, as well as providing transportation for students with special needs equipped with safety and security requirements.He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all those behind this unique project, praising their efforts over the past months to achieve this quantum leap for the services provided to the students, thanks to the support and assistance provided to the Ministry by the leadership.Undersecretary for Resources and Services at Ministry of Education Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for education and curriculum affairs Dr. Abdullah Yousif Al Mutawa, The Secretary General of the Higher Education Council Prof. Riyad Yusuf Hamzah and a number of officials and experts were present.
