Renowned journalist Munnu Bhai laid to rest .

Renowned writer, senior columnist and poet Munir Ahmad Qureshi, commonly known as Munnu Bhai, was laid to rest in Miani Sahib graveyard here on Friday.
He was 84 years old.
His Namaz-e-Janaza was offered at Riwaz Garden ground
after Asr prayers. PPP Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira,
several prominent personalities, friends and a large number of
people from different walks of life attended the funeral.
Munnu Bhai was born in Wazirabad on February 6, 1933. He
remained attached with journalism for a long time. He also
wrote dramas for Pakistan Television. His most famous drama
serail was ‘Sona Chandi’.
Munnu Bhai was awarded Pride of Performance Award by the
President of Pakistan in 2007 for his services to the nation.
