Director General of the National Media Council (NMC) Ibrahim Al Abed and Dr. Abdulrahim Abdulwahid, Chairman of "Aswaq" Malaysian Magazine today discussed ways and means to strengthen media relations between the two sides. During the meeting held at NMC's headquarters, cooperation between the External Information Department of NMC and Malaysian press institutions was discussed in addition to visits by Malaysians media and journalists to UAE upon the implementation of the directives of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Public Works and Chairman of the National Media Council. External Information Department plans to invite a number of Malaysian journalists to visit the country in order to ascertain economic development and urban, cultural and tourism achievements in the state. Dr. Abdulwahid hailed the professional and technical developments witnessed by the Emirates News Agency "WAM". He also expressed his keenness to cooperate with the National Media Council, especially organising visits of Malaysian journalists to UAE in the next phase to highlight news on various economic, media, political and tourism activities in the Malaysian media.
