Ministry of information, posts and telecommunication has strongly condemned the assassination against journalists and media workers indicating these very brutal actions, SONNA reported. Direct general of the ministry of information, posts and telecommunication, Abdirisak Ali Yusuf ‘Bahlawi’ has sent condolence message to the family and friends of the latest media worker, dramatist Warsame Shire Awale of Onkod band who was killed in Waberi district in the capital Mogadishu early this week. Mr. Abdirisak Ali Yusuf, the direct general of information ministry said that the killing of journalists, artists, educators, army commanders and other important persons of the people is very sorrowful action. Mr. Yusuf advised journalists and artists to inform security agencies while they go out for exercising their tasks and making movements in order their security is guaranteed. The killing of comedian Warsame Shire Awale brings the number of journalists and workers killed in Somalia 18 in this year alone and the second country that journalists are targeted while Syria becomes the first country.
