Kuwaiti minister, Dar Assayad's chief mull promoting Arab media cooperation

Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah discussed here on Tuesday with the Chairman of Lebanon's Dar Assyad's Publishing House Bassam Freiha a number of media topics of common interest.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed obstacles that Arab media is facing and the ways of overcoming them to meet the aspirations of Arab citizens, the ministry said in a news statement on Tuesday.
Sheikh Salman underscored the necessity of promoting the ways of cooperation among Arab media institutions and exchanging successful expertise, the statement noted.
The minister also underlined the necessity of Arab media coordination to share same views and stances on issues that concern the Arab affairs, it said, while calling for a balanced media discourse to achieve goals that would contribute to developing the Arab societies.
