Kuwait, US discuss boosting media cooperation

Kuwait's Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah met Wednesday with U.S. Ambassador Douglas Silliman.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to boost media cooperation between the two countries, the information ministry said in a statement, adding that Sheikh Salman also stressed the importance of the media role in bolstering Kuwaiti-US ties and promoting each other's cultures.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Minister also met with Dr. Anoush Ehteshami, director of His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah's program at the UK Durham University, during which they discussed a number of subjects of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by the ministry's Undersecretary of News and Political Programs sector Tareq Al-Mezrem.
