The All-China Journalists Association
Beijing - XINHUA

The All-China Journalists Association on Saturday issued a proposal calling on the country's journalists to practice socialist values in their work.
These include the national goals of prosperity, democracy, civility and harmony; the social goals of freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law; and the individual values of patriotism, dedication, integrity and friendship.
"As our duty is to spread information, we should better promote the significance of the socialist core values and report latest progress in this regard," said the proposal, issued during a forum of the association.
It also called on journalists to stand up to negative voices.
Moreover, journalists should adhere to the principle of press authenticity and oppose false news, it said.
