Tokyo - QNA

Japan has condemned the killing of Japanese journalist Mika Yamamoto in Syria. Japanese Foreign Minister, Koinchiro Gemba on Wednesday described the killing of the Japanese journalist as very unfortunate and he condoled her family. Gemba said that the Japanese government continues to closely watch the situation in Syria and contemplates ways to improve people's conditions there. The Japanese Foreign Minister pledged his country's support to the mission of the UN-Arab League Envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi. Mika Yamamoto was caught in crossfire between Syrian regime and opposition forces in Aleppo, Syria and she was killed Tuesday as she was performing media coverage.
