Egyptian Press Council to meet editors-in-chief of national newspapers

The Supreme Press Council (SPC) will hold Sunday a meeting with the editors-in-chief of the national newspapers to discuss the current problem between their institutions and the Ministry of Education about the price of printing school books.
Secretary-general of the SPC Salah Eissa said Saturday the reasons behind the withdrawal of the editors-in-chief from the ministry’s meeting recently were the low price provided by the ministry and the small margin to go to the press institutions for the printing process.
The national press organizations have limited resources, and rely on printing school books and books to fund their activities.
