Dubai - Arabstoday

Media Incorporated (DMI) will recruit 500 Emiratis during the next few years, said Ahmad Abdullah Al Shaikh, Managing Director of DMI. Ahmad Al Shaikh confirmed that “the initiative comes in support of the strategy of Dubai on the one hand and the UAE on the other, which aims at improving the process of Emiratisation.” He added: “It also comes along the lines of the UAE leadership's commitment towards providing full opportunities for Emarati staff to participate in building the future of their country.” He added that this will come about by engaging the local cadres in major national institutions that carry the huge responsibility to put that vision into practice on the ground. Al Shaikh stressed that the approach of DMI towards Emiratisation is not incompatible with the full appreciation for the great role played by the expatriates cadres in DMI. Al Shaikh praised such contributions which established systematic work processes giving DMI real momentum since its inception. e asserted that the contributions have a clear impact in supporting the pioneering role of the DMI. The Managing Director said DMI will provide training for young Emiratis and qualify them to break into the labour market and provide them with all the necessary ingredients to help them to prove their skills to participate in building the future of the country. He added it will also enhance their competitive skills. All these targets stem from the national responsibility towards the new generations. This came during the celebration which was organised by DMI yesterday at Grand Hyatt Hotel to honor the graduates of the training programme for national cadres. The training programme was launched by DMI in January and aims at qualifying national cadres, as well to coincide with the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the UAE National Day.
