Under the patronage of Deputy Premier and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Bahrain International e-Government Forum will be held on March 15-19, 2015.
The forum, organised by the e-Government Authority in partnership and cooperation with the Bahrain Society of Engineers, the Project Management Institute – Arabian Gulf Chapter, Bahrain Branch and Youth Tech, will be held at the Isa Cultural Centre and the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC)
A delegation from the European Union, including smart cities and e-government experts, National Association for Software and Services (NASSCOM), and key international speakers will take part in the eighth edition of the forum.
Workshops include "Social Media - Business Innovation", organised by the Social Media Club, "Innovation and Entrepreneurship in ICT Environment", organised by Ebtikar Society, "System Design and User Experience", "Big Data and the Future", organised by Bahrain Information Technology Society (BITS), "Holistic Business Process Management: Improvement to Transformation", organised by Future-Smith, "Building defensible Critical Information Infrastructure", organised by ISACA Bahrain Chapter, "eGovernment Success Stories", organised by the e-Government Authority, "PMI Agile Project Management Certification", organised by Project Management Institute: Arabian Gulf Chapter, and "Smart Cities"
The five-day forum will also include an EU Consortium Meeting on EU’s vision 2020.
Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak will also honour the winners of e-Government awards.
The Bahrain IT Expo, which provides an opportunity for companies to display and demonstrate their activities and services, will attract many exhibitors representing both the public and private sectors, including ones from Indic and Hungary which participate for the first time.
The Bahrain IT Expo embraces the latest changes and challenges in technology making it an event not to be missed by the Tech-savvy and ICT community. The Expo focuses on providing visitors and exhibitors with an insight of original, relevant, and cutting-edge leading technology solutions that can be implemented in today’s market.
