Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak
Manama - BNA

Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa patronized the inauguration of the Bahrain News Agency (BNA)'s new premises.
Minister of State for Information Affairs also the Government's Official Spokesperson Sameera Ebrahim bin Rajab, the Information Affairs Authority (IAA)'s President Ali bin Mohammed Al-Rumaihi and several general-directors attended the inauguration ceremony:
The building has been constructed and equipped commensurate with the role of the national media as per international standards for news agencies.
His Highness has expressed his delight at what he saw in terms of advancement and development at the IAA, especially in the new premises of the BNA and its various sections.
His Highness said: I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation of the efforts of the Information Affairs Minister of State and the Government's Official Spokesperson Sameera Ebrahim bin Rajab in developing the national media in terms of technology and performance.
He added: I had been present during the creation of this national news agency back in 1976 which used to be known at that time as the Gulf News Agency. Today, 38 years have elapsed since its establishment and the BNA continues its upholding of the principles of freedom of expression, transparency, credibility and excellent performance, keeping up with latest professional and technological developments and transformations in the field and tracking information and communication as well as portraying the Kingdom of Bahrain's impeccable image in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
