Chinese media urges North Korea for nuclear programme

North Korea must drop its defiant pursuit of nuclear weapons and open up to the outside world, because its stated policy of simultaneously developing its nuclear programs and economy will not succeed, China's state media said Thursday.
The Global Times, a newspaper published by China's Communist Party mouthpiece, the People's Daily, also urged North Korea to show "political courage and wisdom" to choose a different course if it wants to build a genuinely strong country.
