Abu Dhabi - Wam

The National Media Council (NMC) organised a charity collection campaign for its employees to help the victims of draught and fammine in Somalia. The campaign, held as per directives from Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of the National Media Council, well participated by the employees. The charities collected in the drive was handed over to the UAE Red Crescent for providing humanitarian aid for the victims of fammine in Somalia. Assistant Secretary General for Domestic Affairs at the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri received a cheque from Abdullah Al-Falasi, Executive Director for Support Services at NMC in the presence of Mubarak Al Dhahiri, Director of Government Communications at the NMC. In a meeting held the RCA headquarters in Abu Dhabi, they discussed ways for enhancing standing relations of cooperation between the NMC and the Red Crescent.
