Bahraini interior minister receives al-Arab News Channel officials

Interior Minister, Lt-Gen Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, today received Chairman of Al-Arab News Channel, Fahad Mohammed Al-Sukait, and General Manager of the same, Jamal Khashoggi, in the presence of Public Security Chief, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan,
Al-Arab Chairman conveyed greetings of HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal to the Interior Minister and to the Kingdom of Bahrain wishes of further progress and prosperity.
Interior Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal for serving Arab causes and lauded his cultural and media contributions. He valued his efforts in reinforcing ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in the interest of both nations.
Interior Minister asserted that Arab world needs strong and responsible media and free and independent channels to enhance Arab awareness. He said that trust and credibility are the foundation for the success of any media organization.
He wished Al-Arab Channel more successes, and directed to establish cooperation and coordination to assist Al-Arab Channel to carry out its media role to the fullest.
