Meeting
Manama - BNA

Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi emphasised today the key role of MBC Group in developing the Arab media system. Speaking at a meeting today with MBC Group Chief Executive Sam Barnett, he praised the channels' diversified programmes which contributed to increasing the rate of viewers at the Arab level.
The minister also discussed cooperation between the Information Affairs Authority (IAA) and MBC channels to benefit Bahraini media persons from their experiences in applying cutting-edge media standards and systems. He also reviewed mechanisms of future cooperation between both sides in organising training sessions to boost the professional level of Bahraini media personnel.
The Information Affairs Minister underscored IAA keenness to further develop the media sector in Bahrain which is witnessing a quality leap thanks to the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
On his part, Mr. Barnett thanked the Information Affairs Minister for the facilities provided by IAA for MBC to do its work in Bahrain in an outstanding way, reiterating keenness on more cooperation between both sides.
