Information Affairs Authority (IAA) and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) today held a meeting to activate cooperation and partnership towards the implementation of the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Bahraini Women.
Information Affairs Minister, Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi, underlined the media role in supporting the national efforts for the empowerment of Bahraini women and accentuating their achievements.
He stressed the need for consolidating bilateral efforts to lay down an action plan to achieve the goals set for the empowerment of Bahraini women.
The meeting discussed cooperation between the Supreme Council for Women and Ministry of Information Affairs that targets highlighting the development of Bahraini women's status and the progress made in the field of human rights. The two sides agreed to launch a media campaign aims at shedding light on Bahrain's experience in the integration of women's needs and activating the constitutional principles of equal opportunity, in addition to emphasizing the role of Bahraini women and family stability.
