President of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Faisal Al-Qenaei announced on Sunday that the General Conference of the Association currently being convened in the Korean city of Incheon agreed to launch a contest bearing the name of Martyr Sheikh Fahad Al-Ahmad for best photo at the Asian level.
All photographers in the continent will be able to take part in this contest.
Al-Qenaei told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today that President of Kuwait Olympic Committee Sheikh Dr. Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah will grant a cash prize to the winners of the first three places along with a certificate approved by the ISPA and a commemorative gift.
He stated that the conference agreed to the proposal submitted by him to choose head of the sports media in the Bahraini Journalists Association Mohammad Qasim as assistant to the secretary of the confederation, in addition to the selection of the city of Manama, Bahrain, to host the next AIPS conference scheduled for 2016.
He said that the conferees expressed satisfaction with the large facilities to be provided by each of the Organizing Committee of the 17th Asian Games to be held in the city of Incheon next September and the Organizing Committee for the university games in the city of Chung Ju in Korea scheduled for next year for members of the Asian media and journalists and others in accordance with the offer of two cities.
