Iraqi Minister Salman al-Jumaili

Iraqi Planning Minister Salman al Jumaili said on Wednesday that the agricultural sector in Iraq is promising despite the current economic challenges.
"The government is keen on increasing the gross domestic product and boosting the economy in the agricultural sector," Jumaili said in a Baghdad-hosted conference for agricultural planning.
Nearly 20 percent of Iraqi manpower are working in the agricultural field, he said.
