Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab
Cairo - Arab Today

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has said the Oyoun Musa (Moses Springs) in Sinai needs better services to return as a tourist attraction for Egyptians and foreign tourists.

The premier added in a meeting Saturday on development of the Moses Springs that he visited the area in November 2014 and saw for himself the low services provided for the area.

He contacted the Tourism and Antiquities Ministers and assigned them to develop the area to place it as a tourist attraction.

The area contains several springs that Prophet Moses turned to provide drinkable water during the Exodus.

Mahlab also ordered to provide handmade products and traditional crafts centers to place the area among attractions in travel programs.

The tourist site will reopen Mid-June, the minister of antiquities said.
