Egyptian actress Laila Elwy revealed the reason behind her absence from drama and cinema for this year, saying that it was not her decision, while it was the doctors’ orders in the light of her injury in shoulders.
She revealed, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that she received offers to participate in a film entitled “Photocopy” and other TV drama show, while she refused both of them.
She added that she is not frustrated for not participating in these works, saying that it will provide her with the opportunity to follow the dramatic works scheduled to be presented during the coming Ramadan. She added that she will seize the opportunity to read new scenarios offered to her to take the decision whether to participate in them or not.
The Egyptian singer also denied what was published over turning to singing, saying that she sang during a charity party, while it was just a humanitarian work. She added that she does not think to take such a step at all.
