Egyptian actress Laila Elwy expressed her pleasure for her inauguration as an ambassador for Bahia institution for 2017, saying that she will exert her efforts to support the institution's project aiming to early detect the breast cancer and to increase the awareness of those people who suffer from this illness.
She added, in a statement to "Arabs Today", that the Egyptian woman is strong and able to confront this illness, saying that she can work to eliminate it. She stressed the need for increasing the public awareness over the ways to protect the women from this danger.
The Egyptian artist has been honored by the institution during a celebration marking the second memory of its establishment. During the celebration, the Egyptian actress was chosen to be an ambassador for the institution for 2017.
