Cairo - Al Khateeb Jamal

Egyptian footballer Mahmoud Abdel Raziq Shikabala of Zamalek said that former coach Mohamed Helmi bears the responsibility of the current deterioration witnessed in the performance of the team. He added that the players have not received any training during the recent period.

He added that the players complained from the approach adopted by the former coach to Chairperson Mortada Mansour, adding that he had a large number of problems with Helmi.

He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that even the coaching staff’s members were suffering from his approach, as he did not help them perform their role during his presence. He expressed his aspiration that the team will perform well during the coming period to achieve positive results.

He added that the fans’ prayers led the team to win Egypt’s Super Cup at the expense of rival Ahly football team, adding that he apologize for the fans for the recent losses during the matches of Egyptian Premier League.

The player promised the fans that the team will perform well during the coming period, saying that the player who cannot bear the responsibility of their team do not deserve to wear Zamalek’s shirt. He added that he will conduct a meeting with the players on Friday, praising his relation with the fitness coach. He said that he enjoys good relations with him, denying the rumors published over their differences.
