Speaker congratulates new IPU President

Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla sent a cable of congratulations to Gabriela Cuevas Barron marking her election as President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) during the 137th session held in St. Petersburg.
The Speaker stressed the significance of boosting international parliamentary work, praising Barron’s efficiency in leading the international parliamentary institution.
He noting the interest of all parliaments in promoting women, pointing out Bahrain’s support for women in the Bahraini parliament, who contributed to developing the national parliament in line with the royal reforms.
