King meets British delegation

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received at Al-Sakhir Palace – in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister - British Parliamentary delegation led by Sir Nicholas Soames, on the sidelines of their participation in the 13th Manama Dialogue.

HM the King welcomed Sir Soames and discussed with him bilateral relations, stressing keenness on bolstering partnership and developing joint ties in all fields for the sake of shared interests.

He commended the active role of the United Kingdom on the international arenas as well as efforts to maintain regional and international security and stability.

HM the King bestowed the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa Medal -First Class in recognition to his efforts to strengthen relations of friendship.

Sir Nicholas Soames expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King for conferring the medal on him, hailing his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.

He stressed his solid relations with HM the King, which date back to their studies in the United Kingdom.

He lauded deep-rooted historic relations between HM the King and Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland as well as the two royal families.
