HM King congratulates French President

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to French President Emmanuel Macron on the election of French candidate Audrey Azoulay as United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) director-general.
HM the King extended sincerest congratulations to President Macron on this achievement, hailing the French’s candidate’s credentials and reputation which made her best qualified for the post of UNESCO chief.
He hailed deep-rooted relations binding the two friendly countries and peoples and steadily-growing ties, wishing President Macron abundant health and happiness and the friendly French people further progress and prosperity.
