Arab Media Forum (AMF)
Dubai - Gamal Abu Samra

Dubai Press Club (DPC) revealed the agenda of the Arab Media Forum (AMF), running under the patronage of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on May, 1st and 2nd 2017, at Madinat Jumeirah.

The 16th edition of AMF will feature, for the third consecutive year, the Media Walk, which hosts several activities throughout the two-day event.

AMF promises to deliver diversified and non-traditional content in a creative and dynamic context. The forum aims to arrange a series of in-depth discussions around the current state of the Arab Media and its future.

Alia Al Theeb, Director of DPC, said that there will be a range of new activities offered at the Media Walk, including "20 Minutes sessions" which will be staged at the Palmyra and Babylon theatres, where prominent media figures will hold interactive sessions with their audiences.

" DPC will witness the signing of a wide range of important books," she added." A number of media initiatives and programs will be announced by the Dubai Press Club in partnership with various media outlets to enhance the performance of the media system and to seek ways of cooperation that will benefit the two parties," she stated.

The Media Walk will also feature, for the first time, a replica of the "Sarooq Al-Hadeed" museum, where some artefacts from the actual museum will be showcased during AMF with the aim to highlight the civilisations that had existed in the UAE.  Mohammad bin Rashid Space Centre also will display the virtual reality experience of the "Mars 2117" project for guests to embark on a journey to outer space.

DPC is preparing to announce new media initiatives that will be launched by the club independently or in partnership with media stakeholders. An area also will allocated for signing of books by some of the most important Arab writers, including the journalist Zavin Qayoumjian, where he will sign his book "Lebanon on the screen."
