China is evacuating its citizens from Yemen amid growing violence and security deterioration in the Middle Eastern country.
Some 122 Chinese will be transferred to Djibouti in preparation for sending them home, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said.
She told MENA that the Chinese embassy in Yemen is doing utmost efforts to evacuate all nationals, making it clear that the ambassador and staffers are still in Yemen and in constant contact with all Chinese nationals.
She reiterated China's call on all warring sides to settle their differences by political dialogue and restore security.
About the Arab leaders' decision to form a joint Arab force, she said China wishes that the Yemeni crisis is settled soon and stability is restored as quickly as possible.
She called on all sides to abide by UN resolutions and the Gulf Cooperation Council initiative regarding national dialogue.
The Chinese Defense Ministry has earlier sent a ship to evacuate the Chinese diplomats, experts and medical teams after situation worsened in the country.
