Sharjah Ruler meets chairman and directors of Sharjah

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has stressed the importance of cultural initiatives organised in Sharjah throughout its pioneering cultural career, which has resulted in numerous achievements at the national, regional and global levels.

He was speaking during a meeting, on Sunday, with Abdullah Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Culture and Information, SDCI, and department directors, at the SDCI headquarters.

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed referred to his early cultural experiences, starting from childhood, to his educational life in Egypt and various cultural efforts made in Sharjah.

During the meeting, Dr. Sheikh Sultan addressed the cultural dimension of the emirate of Sharjah, which includes many initiatives. He praised the publications of the culture department, including 'Alshariqa Althaqafiya' and the Al Rafid magazine, which has been published for 25 years.

The Ruler of Sharjah also visited the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, SGMB, and toured its sections and departments. He met Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of SGMB, who briefed him about the most important activities organised by the Bureau.
