Ankara - Anadolu

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag said on Sunday Turkey could not grow with slanders on social media but with well qualified staff who aim to serve his or her country. Bozdag assessed the current issues on social media regarding  the Taksim Gezi Park protests that broke out two weeks ago when a small number of people standing up against a construction project at Gezi Park at Istanbul's Taksim Square spiraled into broader anti-government protests and rallies in many provinces, including the capital Ankara and Izmir, the third largest in Turkey. Bozdag said several television channels, newspapers and internet media provoked people with their news, adding, "Everyone is aware of everything and those who think that people are blind are mistaken."
